Welcome to SCORE MY CV® (accessible at scoremycv.ai)! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SCORE MY CV® ("SCORE MY CV," "we," "us," or "our"), an AI-powered curriculum-vitae (CV) evaluation assistant provided by The Micro Company AB. By accessing or using SCORE MY CV, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Description of Service

SCORE MY CV is an AI-powered CV-analysis tool designed to help you get your CV scored, fixed, and interview-ready. The service enables you to upload your CV (PDF, DOCX, image, or other common file types) and receive a comprehensive report in seconds that includes:

  • An overall score out of 100 with detailed category breakdowns (e.g., structure, formatting, content relevance, keyword optimization).
  • Clear, actionable feedback to improve wording, layout, and keyword usage.
  • Highlights of your key strengths to emphasize during interviews.
  • An Applicant-Tracking-System (ATS) optimization check to ensure your CV passes automated screeners.
  • A strong commitment to privacy—you may delete your CV at any time from the dashboard.

The platform leverages third-party artificial-intelligence tools—including but not limited to language-model services from OpenAI, Anthropic, and others—to interpret your CV, benchmark it against industry standards and job-market data, and generate practical recommendations. SCORE MY CV is offered as a subscription service (paid plan only) globally by The Micro Company AB, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. We do not currently offer a free plan. By using SCORE MY CV, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms, and you agree to abide by them. SCORE MY CV’s functionality may evolve over time as we add or improve features.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use SCORE MY CV. By creating an account, you represent that you have the authority to enter into these Terms, either on your own behalf or on behalf of a company or organization.

2. Account and Authentication

To use SCORE MY CV, you need to create an account and, if you choose, authorize access to third-party storage providers (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive) from which you import CV files. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during signup and to keep your account information updated. If you create an account on behalf of an organization, you must have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” will refer to that organization.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Keep your password and any authentication tokens secure. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or a security breach, you must notify us immediately at our support contact (see Contact Information below). We may suspend or disable accounts that we believe are compromised or used in violation of these Terms.

Authentication and Integrations

When you connect third-party services, you grant SCORE MY CV permission to access the files or data stores you specify solely to perform CV analysis and generate the requested feedback. For example, connecting Google Drive allows SCORE MY CV to read an uploaded CV file, analyze its content, and (if you choose) write an updated version back to your drive. You are responsible for complying with the terms of those third-party providers when you allow SCORE MY CV access through their APIs.

Account Usage

Your account is personal (or limited to your organization’s internal use). You agree not to impersonate anyone, use another user’s account, or provide false information. We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel accounts that violate these requirements.

3. Payments and Billing

SCORE MY CV is a paid subscription service. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees and any taxes associated with the plan you select. All pricing is displayed during the signup or upgrade process.

Payment Processor

Payments are handled through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By providing a payment method, you authorize us (and Stripe, on our behalf) to charge your card or chosen payment method for all fees due. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers; all payment information is processed securely by Stripe. You must comply with any Stripe terms of service or policies that apply to you as a user of their payment platform.

Billing Cycle & Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will be charged in advance on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose).

Unless you cancel, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle, and you authorize us to charge the then-current subscription fee to your payment method on file. We may adjust subscription fees for future periods; if we do, we will notify you in advance (for example, via email or in-app notification). If you continue using SCORE MY CV after the price change takes effect, you will be deemed to have accepted the new price.

No Free Plan

SCORE MY CV does not currently offer a free tier. Payment is required to maintain access to the service. If a trial or promotional period is provided, it will be subject to these Terms and any additional terms of the trial. After any trial ends, you will need to provide payment to continue using the service.

Cancellation & Refunds

You can cancel your SCORE MY CV subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation will stop future billing and take effect at the end of your current paid term.

Unless required by law, we do not provide pro-rated refunds for unused time in your subscription period. We may, at our discretion, offer refunds in special circumstances (e.g., if we terminate the service without cause or you encounter a serious issue caused by us).

Failed Payments

If a payment fails (e.g., due to an expired credit card or insufficient funds), we will notify you and may retry the charge. If payment remains outstanding, we may downgrade, suspend, or terminate your access to SCORE MY CV. You are responsible for providing a valid payment method and updating it as needed. Any late payment may incur interest or fees as allowed by law (though we prefer to work with you first to resolve payment issues).

Taxes

Our fees are exclusive of any applicable sales, use, value-added, or other taxes. You are responsible for any taxes or duties payable in your jurisdiction for the use of SCORE MY CV (except taxes on our income). If we are required to collect taxes from you, we will add them to the charges (for example, VAT for EU customers), unless you provide a valid tax-exempt certificate.

4. Use of Data

Using SCORE MY CV involves sharing certain data with us, including personal data. We take your privacy seriously and handle data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Below is a summary of how SCORE MY CV uses your data:

Data You Provide

When you use SCORE MY CV, you may provide information such as your name, email address, CV content, optional job descriptions (if you choose to benchmark your CV against a posting), and any feedback you enter. We use this information to analyze your CV, generate feedback, and deliver the service.

Document Processing & Storage

Uploaded CVs are processed on secure servers. We store copies of your documents to generate reports, maintain version history, and enable features (e.g., re-analysis after edits). You may delete your CV at any time from within the dashboard. Deleted CVs are removed from active systems promptly and from backups within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

AI & Third-Party Processing

SCORE MY CV uses advanced machine-learning algorithms and may rely on third-party AI service providers (e.g., natural-language processing APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) to interpret your CV. We only transmit the minimum necessary information to these AI tools for them to perform the function you’ve requested (e.g., scoring your CV or suggesting improvements). These providers are contractually bound not to use your data for training their generalized models or for any unrelated purpose.

Analytics & Improvement

You agree that we may collect and use analytical data related to your usage of SCORE MY CV. This includes things like feature usage frequency, feedback acceptance rates, response times, error logs, and general interaction logs. We use this data in aggregated or anonymized form to analyze performance and improve the service. We do not use the text of your personal CV in a way that would reveal your identity or job-search specifics.

Privacy, Security & Compliance

We handle personal data in compliance with applicable data-protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (such as encryption in transit and at rest) to protect your data. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with third-party service providers (including cloud hosts, storage providers, or AI processors) solely as needed to operate SCORE MY CV, and always under obligations of confidentiality and security.

Data from Third Parties

If you reference or include personal data about third parties in your CV (e.g., referees or project collaborators), you confirm that you have the right to share that information with us. We will use it only to provide the requested analysis.

Internal Machine-Learning Improvements

SCORE MY CV’s algorithms may improve over time by learning from interactions in the aggregate. By using the service, you grant us the right to use anonymized or aggregated data for internal improvements. We will never use your identifiable personal information to train generalized models.

Communications

We may send you service-related communications (e.g., payment confirmations, analysis completion notices, or critical updates). We might also send you product tips or promotional offers via email. You can opt-out of non-essential promotional communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions or contacting us.

5. User Responsibilities

When you use SCORE MY CV, you agree to:

  1. Provide Accurate Information. Supply truthful, current details in your account and documents.
  2. Use for Lawful Purposes. Only use SCORE MY CV to analyze your own CV or documents you have the right to upload. Do not use the service for unlawful activity or to infringe others’ rights.
  3. No Abuse of the Service. Do not attempt to hack, overload, or reverse-engineer the platform, deploy harmful code, or send spam via the service.
  4. Respect Privacy and Consent. Ensure you have the right to include any third-party data in your CV. Remove or anonymize sensitive personal data where appropriate.
  5. Review Automated Feedback. AI can make mistakes; verify that suggestions accurately reflect your experience and facts before use.
  6. Keep Credentials Secure. Use strong passwords and protect any linked OAuth tokens.
  7. No Impersonation or Unauthorized Access. Do not misrepresent your identity or attempt to access data that does not belong to you.
  8. Comply with Export & Use Restrictions. Follow applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including sanctions and export-control rules.

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account, and we may pursue legal remedies where appropriate.

6. Intellectual Property

Our Intellectual Property

All content, software, algorithms, and materials comprising SCORE MY CV—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, audio clips, computer code, and the design and arrangement thereof—are the property of The Micro Company AB or its licensors. These are protected by Swedish and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual-property laws. “SCORE MY CV®” and its logo are registered trademarks of The Micro Company AB. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by us.

Your Right to Use SCORE MY CV

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SCORE MY CV in accordance with these Terms. This license is solely for the purpose of using the CV-evaluation services as intended. You do not obtain ownership in SCORE MY CV or its software by using the service or paying for a subscription.

Restrictions

You shall not remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices on the SCORE MY CV website, app, or any reports generated by SCORE MY CV. You may not disassemble, decompile, or reverse-engineer any software provided by us.

Feedback

We welcome feedback, suggestions, or ideas about SCORE MY CV (“Feedback”). If you choose to submit Feedback, you agree that we can use it without restriction or compensation to you.

Your Data & Content

You retain ownership of any CV content you submit. However, to allow us to provide the service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, copy, transmit, display, and process your content solely for operating, maintaining, and improving SCORE MY CV, in line with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Third-Party IP

Some features may rely on third-party libraries or APIs. All such third-party materials are the property of their respective owners and may be subject to their own license terms. Our inclusion of them is under appropriate licenses, and we are not granting you any rights beyond what is needed for SCORE MY CV’s operation.

No Rights to SCORE MY CV Marks

These Terms do not grant you any rights to use the “SCORE MY CV” name, logos, domain names, or brand features without prior written consent.

7. Limitations of Service

While we strive to make SCORE MY CV reliable and accurate, there are important limits to what we promise:

No Service Level Agreement (SLA)

SCORE MY CV is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uptime or uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance or unforeseen issues may cause temporary outages.

Accuracy and AI Limitations

SCORE MY CV uses AI to interpret CVs. AI can misunderstand context or produce suboptimal suggestions. You (not SCORE MY CV) are responsible for final decisions and edits applied to your CV.

Third-Party Services

SCORE MY CV depends on external providers (cloud storage, AI platforms, Stripe). We are not responsible for outages or breaches originating from these services, though we will work to mitigate impacts.

Support Services

We provide email support but no formal response-time SLA. Complex issues may take longer to resolve.

Backups & Data Loss

We perform regular backups but cannot guarantee complete restoration to a specific point in time. Maintain copies of your documents externally.

Beta Features

Beta or preview features are experimental and provided “as is” without guarantees. They may change or be removed at any time.

No Emergency Use

Do not rely on SCORE MY CV for urgent or life-critical scenarios (e.g., last-minute job applications that could cause financial harm if feedback is delayed).

Modification of Service

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue SCORE MY CV (or any part) at any time. If we discontinue core functionality, we will provide advance notice and, if applicable, refund prepaid fees after discontinuation.

8. Termination

Your Right to Terminate

You may stop using SCORE MY CV at any time. To close your account, you can do so via account settings or by contacting us. Termination is effective immediately or at the end of your current paid term, depending on your subscription status.

Our Right to Terminate or Suspend

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without prior notice, if we reasonably believe:

  • You violated these Terms or applicable law;
  • Your use creates risk or potential legal liability for us or other users;
  • You fail to pay subscription fees after notice;
  • We discontinue the service entirely.

We will attempt to notify you and give you an opportunity to correct the issue unless circumstances require immediate action (e.g., security threat).

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use SCORE MY CV ceases. We will delete or anonymize your data per our retention policy (typically within 30 days, subject to legal obligations). Sections that should reasonably survive termination (e.g., Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability) will continue to apply.

No Liability for Termination

Neither you nor we will be liable for termination in accordance with these Terms. If we terminate without cause, we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused portion of your current term. If termination is due to your breach, no refund is due.

Data Export

Before termination, export any reports or data you need. After account deletion you may lose access to the dashboard and stored reports.

9. Limitation of Liability

As-Is Service & No Warranty

SCORE MY CV is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We and our suppliers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

No Liability for Certain Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Micro Company AB and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business.

Cap on Direct Damages

Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of these Terms or SCORE MY CV will not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability. If you paid nothing, our liability is zero (where permitted).

Exceptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. In such cases, liability will be limited to the maximum extent permissible. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or death/personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Micro Company AB, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and partners from any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

  1. Your use of SCORE MY CV;
  2. Your breach of these Terms;
  3. Your violation of another person’s rights; or
  4. Content or data you provide that causes a claim (e.g., defamation or infringement).

We will notify you of any claim and allow you to control the defense, provided you act diligently and the settlement releases us without imposing obligations. We may participate with counsel at our own expense.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent in-app notice. Changes take effect on the date specified in the notice. Continued use of SCORE MY CV after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service and cancel your subscription before the changes apply.

We encourage you to review the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Terms regularly. Previous versions may be available upon request for transparency.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to any non-waivable consumer rights in your jurisdiction.

Consumer Protection

If you are a consumer and local law grants you non-waivable rights that conflict with Swedish law, those rights prevail to the extent of the conflict.

International Use

SCORE MY CV is accessible globally. You are responsible for compliance with local laws in your jurisdiction.

13. Dispute Resolution

Contact Us First

Most disputes can be resolved quickly via our support team at the email below. Please contact us before pursuing formal action.

Jurisdiction & Venue

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be brought exclusively in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden. Both parties consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Arbitration (Optional)

At our sole discretion, we may elect to have a dispute resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC). The seat will be Stockholm, Sweden, and the proceedings conducted in English unless agreed otherwise.

Class-Action Waiver

Disputes must be resolved individually, not as part of a class, collective, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in class actions against us.

Limitation on Claims

To the extent permitted by law, any claim must be filed within one (1) year of the cause of action.
